3-Take a Pitstop
It’s a good idea to stop from time to time, especially if it’s going to be a long way. It will be easier for you to deal with your dog because he will not feel too rushed. You can feed your dog while you can and stretch your legs for a few minutes before climbing again.
4-shut down Windows (if possible)
It also helps to slowly lower the window when you and your dog are outside. This will help if your dog has motion sickness or is feeling anxious in the car.
At the same time, show your pet slowly to other vehicles and pedestrians who are also moving. Make sure your dog is tied up as he may get too excited and jump out the window.
5-bring your pet (if possible)
If your pet falls asleep while traveling, it’s a good idea to wear it from time to time instead of waking it up and walking. Since your pet is very sleepy and calm, it will help him feel more comfortable, especially when you are driving the car.
Some owners have pets that jump in and out of their cars, which can cause hyperactivity while driving. Always use a harness that is attached to the seat belt to prevent your dog from jumping into the car.
This will help you focus on driving rather than worrying about your pet. It will be very helpful if your pet is also accompanied. So if you have another, older, car-trained pet, be sure to bring it with you.
