During The Trip
Stopover
A stopover is essential on a long journey. This can help drivers to rest, eat snacks, or go to the comfort room. This usually happens whenever you walk to a gas station or roadside.
Dogs shared during the trip will need the same type of layover. The problem is, they need lots of rest time. This is because when they have to leak or have a bowel movement, they cannot speak.
Seat Belts For Dogs
The cradle and carrier for your furry baby is the only thing you need to secure before you travel with them. However, it is not recommended for adults because the cells have to be larger than them. You feel uncomfortable when the cage has no space and it is harder for you to get into the car.
There are special types of seats designed especially for your service dog. You can use a booster seat for your dog that is too large for the crate. Easy to install and takes up very little space!
The downside is that your furry friend doesn’t have much room to move around. The best thing is to cheer them up so that they don’t get bored and excited.
Spend Playing Time
Sometimes your pet dog is too excited in the car to create a mess inside. When in the cage, they can bark until you notice them. This joy can be overcome with the help of their favorite toys and snacks.
Keep The Dog’s Head In The Vehicle
Do you remember the movies where the head of a dog in front of a car window and enjoying the air? Trying on your baby with fur may look good, but it’s dangerous. If you lose your mind while traveling, you may be hit by something that could cause problems. The best solution is to place it in a plastic cage or padded base for convenience.
